February 06 Weeks 4 and 5Hey guys, sorry I didn't write last week, I've been so busy with school and work! I should actually be doing homework right now. Anyway, last week wasn't so great for me. I didn't loose any weight and Chris only lost 2 lbs. I knew there would be some bad weeks, but it was definitely a little heart breaking. But, I lost 4.5 lbs this week, however, Chris didn't loose any. Neither of us have gained weight yet though, which is very good. Last week I had a hard time working out, but I'm back on track and doing well. Talk to ya'll next week! January 22 Week 3So, let me first say that I am soooo dissapointed that the pink team went home. That is bs. They were my favorite team. Anyway, I have some drama to talk about that should make this blog interesting if nothing else. This week sucked! Well, I lost 5.5 lbs and Chris lost 4.5 lbs. This week was so hard on my diet and exercise. First, I've been sick with a sinus infection and broncitis all week, but I can't take antibiotics because I throw them up. So, not being able to breath makes it very difficult to work out. Every time I tried to get my heart rate up, I'd start to cough alot and really couldn't breath. So I decided to sit out a day to rest and get better. Well, that didn't work because I'm still sick. So, I've only worked out 1 day this week. But, the good news is that I am feeling better today, so I should be able to work out now. Now, for the diet. Well, Friday night my mom called me and told me my younger brother was missing. She believed that he drove off the side on the mountain (because he likes to drive crazy and he just moved to Tennessee.) He was on his way to pick up his girlfriend in her car from the hospital but never made it there. He called mom to tell her that's where he was headed. None of his friends in Tennessee or Indiana had heard from him, and he wouldn't answer anyone's phone call. Mom even put more minutes on his phone to make sure he could call if he was in trouble. Chase, my brother, has been in a lot of trouble with the law in the past, but he finally got off drugs and was doing really well in Tennessee, so we didn't think he was just off messing around, If he was, he would have atleast answered his phone from one of his friends, but he never did. So, my sister and I decided to go to the bar to get our minds off of it. Needless to say, it didn't work out very well. I got trashed and randomly started balling throughout the night. I ended up laying in the -15 degree weather outside the bar trowing up. I won't go into much more detail about how the night ended up, but lets just say I think I got all of the soda and alcohol out of my body because by the time I was done throwing up the fifth time, there was nothing left to throw up. Who ever said drinking your sorrows away works, they were wrong!!!! Anyways, the next morning my mom informed me that Chase's girlfriend's debit card had been used in Illinois, about 20 miles outside of Terre Haute (where he used to live). Chase knew his girlfriends pin to her card. He stole her car, her money, got high, and took a trip to Terre Haute. Now that I've morned for him, I've decided that I'm going to have to kill him. I'm soooo mad at him. Well, needless to say, I had a really bad hangover the next day and I had to work. My sister, the queen of hangovers, said that drinking something carbonated would make my stomach feel better. So, I had a soda. And I also ate a bagel with cream cheese because I knew that would settle best with my tummy. I've cheated a few times this week, but my sister went grocery shopping last night, so now we have good food to eat again! Yay!. Anyway, dispite all the drama for the week, I'm excited about 10 lbs between me and Chris. We are now down to 490 lbs! Talk to you next week!!! January 15 Week 2This week has been hard. At the beginning of the week, we didn't have any healthy food in the house because we didn't have to money to buy any, but Friday I got my student loan return and we were able to go grocery shopping. Around the same time, I started getting sick, throwing up every morning (no, I'm not pregnant), so I had a hard time working out. I only missed one day of working out, but the other days I had a really light workout. I finally was able to get back on the wagon yesterday. Chris lost 4 lbs this week and I lost 2 lbs. Now that I'm back at work and school, it'll be difficult to find time, but so far so good. I'll let you know how the time management goes next week!!! January 08 End of Week 1 Weigh InHey All,
Chris and I weighed in today right before the new episode of Biggest Loser came on. Chris has lost 8.5 lbs so far, which is amazing since she has had a hard time working out with her pain. I have lost only 4.5 lbs, but it is a start. I was doing better, but yesterday we were offically out of healthy food, so I believe we'll both do better next week. Chris is getting better at working out, adding a little more time to her work out each day. She's had a hard time, wanting to give up because she is in pain, but she kept going and I am very proud of her. She's kicking my butt so far and I've been working out every single day. I'm doing well with working out. I reach my workout goal every day and it just feels like it's getting easier and easier. I guess I'm going to have to kick the intensity up a little again. I've gotten to a point where I feel like I'm addicted to working out now. I love it. I love the feeling of being healthy and working hard. I even like being all sweaty because it is a reminder to me how hard I'm working. Well, that's all for now. I'll give you another update next week!!! Untial then, good luck! We can all do this together!!! January 06 Biggest Loser million pound match beginning weightSo, On January 1st, 2008 Chris and I joined the biggest loser million pound match up. My starting weight is 240 lbs. and Chris' starting weight is 279. My goal is to get to 160 and Chris plans to eventually get to 135. So far, our journey has been okay. I'be been working out 2-3 hours a day every day and eating what the biggest loser cook book recommends. Chris has had a rough start working out because she has pain in her legs. We're starting to struggle with the food too because I was laid off from work for a month, so we are having a hard time affording healthy food. We were able to buy a few days worth of food, but now we've ran out of the healthy food and are stuck with our left over junk food. Untill I get back to work and get a pay check again, we'll just have to watch our portions really well. I should be getting my student load return soon, so once I get that, we'll be great and back on track.
Now, a little about me and Chris. We have been partners for nearly two years now. In may 2007, we had a commitment ceremony. I have added photos from the wedding. Unfortunately, they are the most recent pictures of us because I have lost my digital camera. Hopefully I'll find it or get a new one to show everyone our progress. Anyways, I am both a full time student and a full time employee for the same University I attend. I work in food service, so once I start back at work, it'll be interesting cooking the food and never eating it. Luckly, we do have salads, but other than that, all our food is fried. Hopefully I don't get sick of salads. :)
Chris also works in food service for the University. I think having both of us working together we will be able to encourage eachother to stay on track.
